RESUMO

Objective To classify Mongolian medicine prescription by using fuzzy c-means algorithm (FCM) and hard c-means algorithm (HCM); To explore the rationality of two kinds of clustering algorithm. Methods 27 Mongolian medicine prescriptions for treating Heiyi disease from Chuan Tong Meng Yao Yu Fang Ji were set as experimental data, and the data were preprocessed first. MS Visual Studio 2010 platform was used, and C# language was used for research and development. Chinese version and Mogolian version were implemented with WindowFrom and WPF technology, respectively. The medicine prescriptions were classified into 3, 4, 5, and 6 types by using FCM and HCM. Results All categorization with zero classification showed the existence of inclusion phenomena. The medicine in the classification results obtained by the two kinds of clustering algorithm did not exist cross. FCM could produce clustering results with smaller quantity difference and the more uniform classification compared with HCM. Conclusion The two algorithms are correct and reasonable, in which FCM algorithm has better clustering effect, and can be widely used in Mongolian prescription analysis, with a purpose to provide data supports for the research and development of new medicine.

The associating rules have been widely used in traditional Chinese medical (TCM) prescription data mining research work,while Mongolian medical prescription data mining work hardly carried out.In this study,Apriori algorithm based on reduced binary matrix was adopted for the data mining of Mongolian medical prescriptions with the provision of the decision support for research and development of new drugs.Twenty-seven Mongolian medical prescriptions for He Yi disease were involved in the data mining with Apriori algorithm based on reduced binary matrix.It was found that Aquilaria agallocha,Myristica fragrans,Zhen He Yi,or Aquilaria agallocha combined with Myristica fragrans,or Zhen He Yi combined with Myristica fragrans were determined as the Mongolian drugs frequently used in He Yi disease,with 80% confidence level and 60% support,and two algorithms were output,[Myristica fragrans-->Zhen He Yi,0.83] and [Aquilaria agallocha-->Myristica fragrans,1.00].In conclusion,some potential associating rules and drugs with high frequency in the Mongolian medical prescriptions can be fast mined using Apriori algorithm based on reduced binary matrix,providing a new way for unveiling the medication rules of Mongolian medical prescriptions.

Objective To explore the effect of jejunostomy in radical operation of esophageal cancer through right thoracotomy and abdominal incision. Methods A total of 90 esophageal cancer patients who had undergone radical resection through right thoracotomy and abdominal incision were retrospectively analyzed, among whom 50 cases used enteral nutrition via jejunostomy (jejunostomy group) and 40 cases via naso- intestinal tube (naso- intestinal tube group). The operation time, hospitalization time after operation, retention time of tube, complication and nutritional status after operation were compared between 2 groups. Results There were no statistical differences in the operation time and hospitalization time after operation between 2 groups (P>0.05). All the patients of 2 groups could tolerate the enteral nutrition. The retention time of tube in jejunostomy group was significantly longer than that in naso- intestinal tube group jejunostomy: (18.08 ± 9.28) d vs. (14.85 ± 4.59) d, and there was statistical difference (P0.05). The albumin after 1 week′s enteral nutrition in jejunostomy group was significantly higher than that in naso-intestinal tube group:(30.99 ± 2.79) g/L vs. (29.72 ± 3.16) g/L, and there was statistical difference (P<0.05). During the period of observation, the patients of naso-intestinal tube group had different degrees of nasopharyngeal region discomfort. The incidences of tube obstruction/ tube shedding and the complication in jejunostomy group were significantly lower than those in naso-intestinal tube group: 0 vs. 10% (4/40) and 18% (9/50) vs. 50%(20/40), and there were statistical differences (P<0.05). Conclusions Jejunostomy is a safer and more effective nutrient method in radical operation of esophageal cancer through right thoracotomy and abdominal incision.

RESUMO

Objective To investigate the role of double stapling device in anus-preserving operation of low rectal cancer. Methods Retrospective study was used to analyze the experience of double stapling device in anus-preserving operation of low rectal cancer for 79 patients between March 1999 to March 2003. Results 79 cases in the group all had the radical resection, no patient died. Complications included anastomosis fistula in 2 patients(2.5%),anastomosis stenosis in 3 patients(3.8%). The defecation function after surgery,the patients who received colonic Jpouch or transverse coloplasty pouch were much better than those not did. Five years survival rate 63.3 %, anastomosis recurrence rate 10.1% and recurrence rate in the pelvic soft tissue was 5.1%. Conclusion Anus-preserving operation of low rectal cancer can accomplished with double stapling device,and five years survival rate and local recurrence rate did not effect. Colonic J-pouch or transverse coloplasty pouch is good for improving the defecation function after anus-preserving operation.

<p><b>OBJECTIVE</b>To estimate the level of blood lead and some haematological parameters in the workers occupationally exposed to lead so as to know the effect of lead exposure on hematopoietic system in exposed workers.</p><p><b>METHODS</b>The graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrocopy was used to determine blood lead (BPb). The haematological parameters were determined by Sysmex KX-21 automated haematology analyzer.</p><p><b>RESULTS</b>Hemoglobin (Hb) in the lead-absorption group[male: (129.3 +/- 12.3) g/L, female: (112.2 +/- 9.4) g/L], and hematocrit (HCT) in the lead-absorption group[male: (0.338 +/- 0.030) L/L, female: (0.302 +/- 0.028) L/L] were significantly lower than those in normal people group and lead-exposed group (P < 0.05, P < 0.01). The relationships between BPb and Hb, HCT were weakly negative correlation. Red cell distribution width (RDW) in the lead-absorption group(male: 16.68% +/- 0.80%, female: 16.98% +/- 0.98%) were significantly higher than those in normal people group and lead exposed group, and RDW in lead exposed group (male: 14.77% +/- 0.83%, female: 14.92% +/- 1.13%) were higher than that in normal people group. BPb was weakly positively correlated with RDW.</p><p><b>CONCLUSION</b>Hb, HCT and RDW were three indices which may reflect the occurrences and degrees of anaemia in lead exposed workers.</p>

One hundred and five rats were equally divided into three groups and inflicted with radiation (550 rads of (?)Co ? ray), burn (15% full thickness burn) and radiation-burn combined injury respectively. Another ten were used as controls. After injuries, the outstanding changes in adrenal cortex included the following: (a) Transformation between clear cells and compact cells, on the basis of ultrastructural and cytochemical changes. (b)Acidophilic masses appeared in the cytoplasm of cortex cells, as a result of the formation of mitochondria-lipid droplets-lysosomes-hyperplastic SER complex, (c) The cortex cells or their cytoplasm entered the blood sinuses.This phenomenon is considered as an unusual pattern of discharge of endocrine secretion. Similar dynamic changes and distributing characteristics of cortical lesions were observed in all three groups of injured animals, and signifying hyperfunction of this gland. The degree of effect on the adrenal cortex in combined injury group was more marked than any of either single injurious factor. That is considered as an important feature of combined effect on the adrenal cortex.
